Miles 11 Months Old - Week of September 5, 2010 Labor Day Weekend

Monday, September 6, 2010 - Labor Day!!! We woke up this morning and I thought Miles would enjoy a new breakfast so I made him some delicious apple cinnamon pancakes. Miles loved his new breakfast treat. Then about an hour later, I noticed a little bumb on the side of his head, as I looked closer I saw several bumps over his throat and all of a sudden his upper body was covered in hives and his face and throat were starting to swell. David and I rushed Miles to Pomerado Urgent Care (last time we were here was on Mother's Day for his staph infection on his ear, I guess Miles like to be at Urgent Care on holidays). The nurses triaged him right away and it turns out he was having an allergic reaction to what I thought was the soy milk in the pancakes. I could barely even recognize Miles because his eyes and face were so swollen. They gave him benadryl and monitored him for about an hour and a half. He fell asleep after he had some benadryl. His symptoms went away but we scheduled an appointment with an allergest. Miles was such a little trooper!!!
