Maui!!!! October 16 - 23

We went to Maui for the first time as a family. It was a wonderful vacation and we aleardy look forward to our next trip to Hawaii! Here are some pictures from our trip

On our fifth day in Maui we attempted the Road to Hana. We already knew going in we would not make it the whole way, Miles would decide when it was time to turn around :) We made it about half way in and then turned around to get to Mama's Fish House for lunch which was by far the best meal we had in Maui. Everything was cooked to perfection! We also saw Neve Campbell sitting near us in the restaurant. After our amazing lunch we met up with Grandma and Grandpa and the Grand Wailea. Daddy and Mommy did smoke snorkeling although there were not too many fish and it started to rain so instead we had fun just playing in the ocean and jumping into the waves. Time together with only the 2 of us is so rare so we enjoyed every minute of it and being in the ocean in the rain was actually a lot of fun!
(Miles eats shaved ice for the first time)

On our fourth day in Maui we met Grandma and Grandpa for breakfast at a place called the Gazebo and the views were breathtaking! Back at the room Miles enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror. It was almost like I had twins :) Later that evening Daddy and Mommy got an evening by themselves and Grandma and Grandpa watched Miles. We went to Kimos for dinner and the foot was delicious!

Our third day in Maui we did a little shopping and then went to the pool and Grandma and Grandpa Tartakoff's timeshare. Miles is such a water baby! He was smiling almost the whole time in the pool!

(Miles wanted to get these glasses at the store. He was stylin'!)

Out first FULL day in Maui we decide to explore what was in walking distance to our timeshare, which of course was the beach! Daddy went snorkeling and Miles and Mommy watched him from the grassy area near the beach. Daddy put Miles in the ocean but he was not too excited to be in the water, as you can see from the pictures.

(Miles passed out in his stroller after out walk, this was the first time in his new stroller)
(Miles was not happy to have his cute lil feet in the sand)
(Daddy's in the background in the ocean)

Once we  landed we had to unload all of our stuff and wait to get our rental car....I tried to pack light but as you can see it doesn't look that way at all!

This was Miles second time on the plane and he had his own seat! Of course we were fully prepared with lots of cheerios for the long flight. He did very well and liked to walk up and down the aisles. He only slept for about an hour on the 5 hour flight, but overall it was a success! Once he figured out how to open and close the window shade on the plan he was having lots of fun!

Week of October 10, 2010 - First time on a swing!

Wednesday, October 13, 2010 - Miles ate tuna fish for the first time today and loved it! I added relish and avocado to the tuna fish and tried to give it to him in a pita but he didn't like that. So i just put the tuna on the spoon and and he ate it all up! Later in the day we went to the park with our neighbors and Miles played on the swings for the first time. He had so much and I know we will be going a lot more often!

Miles 12 Month Old Pictures and Update

October 2, 2010 - We took Miles to the beach to do his 1 year pictures as well as some family pictures. Miles hated the sand! He was screaming the moment his little toes touched the sand. We still got some nice shots of him and the whole family together. Miles was not in the "smiling" mood so the pictures of him smiling were few and far between. At 1 year old Miles is getting a lot more teeth and he is doing much better at standing up without holding on to anyone. He loves to talk just like his Mommy. He is a a great eater despite all of his allergies. This year has gone by so fast! Miles is doing much better walking when we hold his hands and is very close to walking by himself. His hair is starting to fill in on the top of his head, but he still sporting the "old man" hairstyle with little red curls going all the way around his head.
